About

Hi, my name is Kari and welcome to my world.  I am a busy mom, wife, with a lot of stories and always up for a good laugh.  My world is centered on my kids, my husband, and my animals.  I have naturally curly hair, and a potty mouth at times.  That came with age, wisdom, and a need to get my point across.  You might call my words cuss words … I choose to call them sentence enhancers.

A year and a half ago, we bought a home and property out in the country on top of a beautiful hill.  It’s not perfect… it’s a work in progress, but it’s ours and I love it.  We have Llamas, chickens, and goats.  We are working on our farm piece by piece… and it truly is our little piece of heaven.  It does lay the ground for a lot of good “Life on the Farm” stories.  And by the way… when John Denver wrote about life on a farm being kind of laid back… well I have come to think that he never really lived on a farm, if you know what I mean.

In a nut shell… I’ve done a little bit of everything in my life.  Raised two beautiful children into good hard working adults, been a nurse, been a teacher, been divorced, started my own business, lost my own business, been an owner and CFO of a corporation… yet nothing truly made me happy.

My passion is teaching and helping others realize and remember who they were before someone told them who to be.  Especially women, who dedicate their whole lives to being there for everyone else, that they one day wake up and wonder who they really are anymore, It happened to me.  My kiddos have grown up, one has left the nest and the other is spreading his wings and heading to college this fall.  That coupled with some unexpected life changes, sent my world into a spiral.  On the surface I had everything I needed, but on the inside, I had abandoned myself and what I needed to feel my purpose in life.

I hope this blog, my stories, my tweets,  and whatever we may encounter together, help you to remember who you are, and meet other people just like us, because when you find other people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with cries of “ME TOO” be sure to cherish those people… those weirdos are your tribe.  Strong women build each other up, not tear them down!
